Good morning, iPad Lawyer Tribe. Ready to hear about some fantastic app offerings? I thought so.
A few days ago, I mentioned a new app that will turn your iPad or iPhone into a second monitor for your Mac. It’s called Duet Display. The app is free to download on your Mac. The iOS version is normally $14.99.Today, however, it’s only $7.99. You save $7.00.

If you’re looking for a calendar replacement for your native iOS calendar app, you might enjoy Calendars 5 from Readdle. It doesn’t quite have all the bells and whistles that Pocket Informant Pro offer, but it’s still a great app. Normally, this app is $6.99. Today, it is only $2.99. You save $4.00.

You know I’ve written about automated document assembly before. Well, there’s another little secret that I use . . . automated email/text message assembly. And one of the ways I implement that is with a wonderful new app called Workflow. Among other things, Workflow lets you create shortcuts so you can (for example): Make animated GIFs, add a home screen icon that calls a loved one, make PDFs from Safari or any app with a share sheet, get directions to the nearest coffee shop in one tap, tweet the song you’re listening to, get all of the images on a web page, and send a message including the last screenshot you took. How do I use it? I’ve created a workflow that sends my location and an ETA text message. It really is a great tool to use. Normally, this app is $2.99. Today, it is $1.99. You save $1.00.

I get asked all the time for the PDF annotation tool that I prefer. Each and every time I tell people it’s iAnnotate. With this app you can read, mark up, and share PDF, DOC, PPT and image files. Normally, the app is $9.99. Today it it only $4.99. You save $5.00.

Do you want to take handwritten notes on your iPad? If so, one of your better options is Notes Plus. You can take beautiful handwritten notes (I prefer to use a stylus), create diagrams, draw, etc. And . . . in February . . . there will be handwriting recognition offered FREE to existing users. Notes Plus is for your iPad only — there is no iPhone version, yet. The app is normally $9.99. Today it is only $4.99. You save $5.00.

As an alternative to some of the other diagramming and mindmapping apps out there, I continue to be intrigued by MagicalPad. With this app, you can outline, do task management, create mindmaps, and manage all types of visual diagrams. The app is normally $9.99. Today, it is only $4.99. You save $5.00.
